Galing Gear is free to read. Here’s how it earns money, so you can judge our recommendations.

Shop links

Some links in our articles go to products at shops such as Shopee and Lazada, some through the Involve Asia affiliate network. If you buy through one, the shop pays us a small commission, and you pay the same price. Articles with these links say so at the top.

• The shop sells and ships the product and handles returns and warranties. Your purchase is with them.
• Any price we mention is the shop’s price on the date shown, and it can change.

Our independence

A commission never decides what we recommend. No brand pays to be featured or sees an article before it’s published. We say when a cheaper or free option works.

What we don’t do

We don’t accept free products in exchange for coverage, and we don’t show ads or publish sponsored articles. If that ever changes, we’ll say so here and on every sponsored article.
